IVANA CURI
I was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1962, having lived in Rio de Janeiro most of my life, and currently living and working in Nuremberg, Germany.
Versatility and freedom to easily navigate through different forms of expression are the hallmarks of my work.
Over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, having participated in many Fashion Rio and Fashion Business events, as well as individual exhibitions at Gilson Martins gallery, and at Light Cultural Center, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
My clients are, among others: H. Stern, ACM Home, Rio Design Barra, Afghan, Tessuti, Dona Coisa and Clínica Leliene Rodrigues.
I hold a degree in Visual Programming and Product Design from Faculdade da Cidade (RJ), Brazil, and attended the School of Visual Arts at Parque Lage (RJ), Brazil, with emphasis in clothing modeling, sculpture, jewelry design, and scenography.
My work poetics is built mainly from the assemblage technique, using a wide variety of materials to recombine and transform them into unique objects, products, and scenography.
With more than 15 years of experience in Rio de Janeiro’s fashion scene, I have developed scenography projects and showcases for major events, and managed the scenotechnical teams and their execution.
I have worked with interior and ambiance design of restaurants and residences, and created complementary artistic and scenographic objects for those projects.
